Thanks Rich, I'll trade you some more rockabilly girls for some surfer girls.

Sure Steve, that sounds good. I do have this one test shot of this new CPL that I was trying out, but I'm not sure if she's a keeper or not?

I'm still seeing some CA, and it looks like it may be over-exposing?

The CA is much more noticeable in the lightbox on Flickr:

I may have to run some more tests!

CPL's can be a little tricky Rich, I think a number of tests would be a good investment towards better IQ in the long term.
Exposure can be a very subjective thing, to my eye, this looks pretty good, specially in consideration of the environment.

Having just viewed the Lightbox example, I see what you mean.
While your images of birds on poles are truly captivating and good tools to evaluate tele lenses, my personal interests probably lean more towards your example above.
I'll add some more shots from the weekend.

Tried to muscle my way into my own photo, looking a little shadey here. Is it a self portrait or a landscape, or just plain B&W.

That's cool. You know it is a really good shot when the first thing that comes across your mind is: "I gotta try that".

This is a steam engine train that they give rides on every year at a Steam Engine Show.
