    Is it just the camera angle or is that horse quite, um, emaciated? His ribcage looks to be fully visible with a serious lack of meat on his haunches. Or maybe it's just the shadows.

    You are right M Six, he is rather thin and he is little drawn at the withers and loin, he seems to move very well and gets up some speed along the main street and they do rest him in the shade, you have a keen eye for noticing considering my focusing and DOF.

    @Steve, nice shot ... Agree the head looks like a Clydesdale, but the body frame (skinny as it is) doesn't, so he's probably a mix. Maybe a Shire/Clydesdale mix
