Hi, the only regular portraits I've done recently are rather boring ID photos. Instead I thought I'd participate with a portrait-like photo from a recent hockey tournament.

Here are my entries for the week.

    Landscape - Berries

Portrait - Ninja I took out the floor to make this image work. He was already in the air.

    Ok, winners are as follows:

    Portrait: Jayson - Ninja
This was a very tough call. I really enjoyed DavidWare's "Make a Wish" and cls's "Focus," but in the end Jayson's timing, lighting and perfect exposure tipped the odds in his favor. Well done to all three, though!

    Landscape:
erno james - "My Favorite Things"
Again, this was a close one. I really enjoyed nvitalephotography's "Old Pier," but erno's impressive collection worked very well as a set. The interesting thing about erno's image is that all the shots are great on their own, but for some reason the set seems to equal more than the sum of its parts. Great variety and placement of the shots.

    Thanks Sean and congrats Erno!

Nick, I agree with everyone that that old pier shot is stellar. I like the way you have processed the image and I don't think I would change much if anything.

    Nick:

I like it. The light sky looks like fog, and fits the compisition well. As you can tell from the other comments, it is a matter of personal taste, but I may have cropped off the bottom more... however, it does look good as is.
