Last day to vote. BTW, to continue the trend noticed earlier by Pat, all the the Landscape finalists here include water.

Congratulations to Enro and David for winning the Landscape and Portrait of the Month, respectively.

Just to get people's input, but we need to have another runoff before Landscape and Portraits of the Year. Our polls only allow for a maximum 10 entries so waiting to vote on all the monthly winners until the end of the year will not work. My thought is to select quarterly winners and then have 4 photos to select from for the image of the year. The other option would be semi-annual so we would then only have two finalists for image of the year.

Please respond below if you would prefer quarterly, semi-annual, or if you have a different suggestion. I'll put up the Q1 poll with the Image of the Month Winners for January, February and March tomorrow if I don't hear back.

    Thanks,
    Brant

    Congrats Enro.

Quarterly, or "Thirdly" would be good. A yearly with 2 options would seem barren... unless the yearly is actually 4 options (or 6 or 8). You choose a single image, ignoring category.

What's up with the percentages? I've noticed all poll long that they're off. Is the final landscape option accidentally in the portrait category? Did some bot submit a form with out of range options?

It is the number of votes each entry received divided by the total number of voters for the entire poll (not category specific). So, for your Lynx shot it is 7 divided by 16 or 43.75%. Some people only vote in one category. As long as that happens, the percentages have the potential to be off. To fix, we'd have to create a separate poll/thread for each category. Which isn't that big of a deal if people would prefer it.

    Thanks Brant for the explanation,
I personally can live with the percentages being not category specific - let's keep it simple.

Yes thanks Brant for the info. It's fine as long as we know why it's off. And the reason behind it means it won't affect the relative results, so it's all good.
