This thread is wonderful.

I'll try, in some parts, to tell about this summer trip in Scotland.

This was my first "trip" with a Digital Reflex in my backpack and my equipment was really basilar.

Canon 600D
40mm f 2.8
70-300 mm f 2.8
18-55 f 3,5-5.6 Kit lens that my brother lost like the first day.

So, i got nothing for the wide-angle part and i said "Well ok, let's do everything with 40mm and 70-300".

After a 22h trip by car from Florence we arrived in Edinburgh. (Florence - Switzerland - France - Eurotunnel - Edinburgh)

There was the music festival, and with that, a church was used as a live music pub, while an artist was painting on wood walls.

The atmosphere was great!

Next night in Edinburgh we also got Fireworks!

After that we planned to visit some churches and some castle in the area around, and then we moved up near to Aberdeen.

The weather was always cloudly, but the landscapes were really enjoiable.

The Dunnotar Castle was wonderful, also with the limitation of the 40mm on an APS-C.
