    "Looking Up"

Tried to center myself beneath the Eiffel Tower. Canon 5DIII Rokinon 14 mm f/2.8 UMC, 1/50, f/8, ISO 400

EDIT--this ended up double posted, so I deleted the first.

I'm a little jealous! You have both green and a great looking photo! Keep them coming.

Thanks. It was. But I am glad I took a few days off at the start. Once worked kicked in again, between dinners and meetings, there wasn't as much time for photography as I hoped.

HA....I am somewhere between the two. A few piles of snow remain, but a few blades of grass are peaking up in other areas.

The entries keep getting better every week and the judging keeps getting harder as well. Which means the criteria gets tougher.

This week I chose cls's "Spring". I like the shallow DOF, and yet the flower is in good focus creating good separation of the main subject. And maybe I am just glad to see a little spring.

It was a tough choice. A few others that where very close were:
    • I really liked Jayson's second sunset (Jayson - You are getting real good at those). Only issue was the weed or cat tail in the lower left corner.
    • Jerrytech1's ice swan was a really nice shot, but I need to see the eyes (admittedly, easier said than done on a swan).
    • Kombi - That is so cool, and great sense of humor. Technically, the lighting seems so well done.
    • Joel's woodpecker - As can always be expected... just flawless.
    • DavidEccleston - Great timing, very sharp, beautiful subjects, and the action you froze is wonderful. The only thing I would offer is about personal taste... so not really a good criticism, but I think I would have cropped the wood out on the right side.

+1. Beauty of a shot. Nice low angle.
