    2015 Image of the Week #20

    Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

    There will be only one weekly winner.

    • This entry period for Week 20 will be from Monday May 11th through/including Sunday May 17th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.




    This week will be judged by M_Six

    One more from my session for this week

    "Mother and Son"

    I just instructed her to give him a kiss to get his reaction on film. Worked perfectly.

    I set up for this shot similar to a multi-flash system for hummingbirds. I used 2 Einstein monolights with soft boxes about 45 degrees to the left and right and about 6 feet from the branch. The lights were set in action mode and at -5.5f which creates a very short flash duration which has the effect of freezing motion and it also lets the background be very dark.
