Assignment #77: Human and Nature--Now Voting

On behalf of Poik, winner of Assignment #76, I would like to introduce the topic for Assignment #77: Human and Nature

    As described by Poik:

The subject I would like to do is "Human / Nature". As in photos that have a natural component and a human component. This can be a wide range of things, from juxtaposition of man-made items and nature, to wildlife in an unnatural habitat, or just people cooperating with nature. Of course it could be something else as well, but containing both the human and natural components is the theme!

    Enro James: Potholes Sufer

    HDNitehawk: After

    Conropl: Invasion of Penguins

    CLS: Bikes

Poll will be open for 3 days.

'Potholes Surfer' in La Jolla, California. Truly one of the joys of photography for me is coming away with an image that was completely unexpected from what was pre-visualized. With my tripod set up for landscapes, a surfer popped into the scene and immediately became my mid ground and main subjects.

This was one of those happy accident shots. I was tracking this butterfly using AI Servo and got a few shots of it flying by. The last shot in the series just happen to change focus onto this boy and his mother. It wasn't until PP that I saw that this kid's expression made it a keeper.

Nice entry. When humans and nature collide... it cause one to pause and think.

    Here is my humbled entry:
During a particularly long and cold winter, someone with a sense of humor attempted to create a little man made nature.
