600 F4 only $9,200 refurb tempting, really tempting

    No, not really

As much fun as I have a/ my Tamzooka, I know it is soft at 450mm plus -

Someday I will rent such a thing and still not buy it. If I was making my living from image capture sure, but not now.

That and it would take about 3 or 4 weeks before I would be able to get anything to focus..... once the swelling has gone down from around my eyes from my wife beating me.

Agreed....it's bad timing for me due to other expenses.....if it happens again a few months from now I would probably jump.

If they had it during the 15% off sales we see occasionally it would be very tempting.

Two years ago i bought a 60D, and one year ago i bought the new 100-400 IS USM L II... the quality of this lens it is incredible and i took out from 60D really high quality pictures!

Sometimes, for bird photography, i found the 400mm x 1.6 a bit too short - but my next step will be the Body changing, so i can use 1.4x \ 2x extenders more efficently.

Those cannons are REALLY out of my range !

Pretty hard to think about new gear when I don't even have time to go shoot
