    • This entry period for Week 29 will be from Monday July 11th through/including Sunday July 17th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.

    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by neuroanatomist

    "The Line Up"

Motivated by Sean's fireworks composite image I decided to try one of my own.

This is a branch over a platform feeder where I took an image of the branch and then individual birds as they perched on different parts of the branch. Later I brought them all together in photoshop. It was a very overcast morning and I set the exposure so that only the items hit by flash would appear and the BG would be near black. So this is a 5 image composite that is a little over 10,000 pixels wide.

Taken at Texas A&M University. Diver is at 10M moving into a handstand. He held this pose for a moment before raising his legs vertical. Amazing strength - I would have fallen on my face 6D with 70-200 f2.8, heavily cropped. I had to push the exposure in lightroom, but the 10 platform was poorly lit. 6D didn't do too bad at all during the dive meet. I had about a 70% success rate on keepers.

We had a really sparkling sunset today with intensely orange sky to the west and a nice pink haze to the east. I decided to share one of each.
