Hi Everyone. I haven't heard back from Kombi. So I thought I would jump in and make the selection for this week.
As is usual, several great images. I know our personal tastes can vary, but as I stare at these, I keep coming back to Kim and the black light, Morgan, and dewy morning.
Sean's portrait creativity continues to impress me and he has done nothing but continue to get better. "Kim" continues this, in addition to the creative element with the black light, I really like the expression he has captured and tight crop that really has the viewer focus on Kim.
"Morgan"....the car just pops, shimmers and stands out. Lower key background but yet near perfect lighting on the car. Nice perspective in that it seems just a little lower than eye level. The off center orientation at first threw me off, but then it grew on me, made it feel a bit more real.
"Dewy Morning"....foreground blur, background blur, great subject razor sharp in between in the shadows. Also, I really like the muted common colors. The image makes me feel like I am there.
As I said, great entrees. I often use various criteria like "would I hang it on my wall," "what do I keep coming back too," "How would it do in an Image of the Month competition?" etc. I think several of these images would do very well against these criteria.
But the one I keep going back to the most, so this is a bit of personal preference, is Dewy Morning.
So, congrats Andrea!
