I'm attending an astrophotography workshop in Terlingua, TX. I've never tried shooting the milky way before, but I'm happy with my first results. 6D, Rokinon 14mm. Instructor did the light painting.

Went to DC last week for a scientific conference, I was hoping for some nice cherry blossom shots – the time of the year was right, but the recent snowstorm and cold snap had pretty much decimated the blossoms. At least I was able to get to the National Mall area for some sunset/blue hour shooting. Two entries...

    "Lincoln Memorial Sunset"

    EOS 1D X, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM @ 70mm, 30 s, f/11, ISO 400, 10-stop ND, HDR

    "Capitol Building"

    EOS 1D X, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM @ 65mm, 30 s, f/14, ISO 100

Last monday we had the best display of northern lights here in southern finland for the season. Was lucky to spend that evening on the swamp at the close by national park.

Show was just amazing. Will post a timelapse to flickr too for to see, where i had to choose the picture from =)

We went to the local "Geek Market" event, which was an opportunity for Bella to cosplay.

Ok...to move week 14 along as we are now entering Week 16, I am discarding my entries and selecting from the remaining.

As usual, I really liked several of the entries and enjoyed the diversity. I am tempted by several images including Neuro's "Capital Building" or Jamsus's rethought "Paris"....

But I am going with David's "Steampunk Girl"

    Congratulations!
