I should have posted this last year when it happened. I am very sorry to say that forum member Wally Bouw passed away last year on July 15th after a long illness. Having lost my father in a similar manner, I have to say in many ways it is a blessing in that people get a chance to say goodbye. From what I saw on Wally's Facebook account, his family took full advantage having parties and getting to spend a great deal of time with Wally. It is obvious he was extremely well loved by his family and I know he was also well liked here on our forum.

I'm sad to hear that as well. Sometimes it's a great blessing to know you're going soon; it puts things into perspective and allows you to live your last days in a manner that's an optimal use of one's time.

He was very active here when I first came on this forum, and I agree with Mark that he's truly missed. I'm not surprised since he hadn't updated his flickr account for a pretty long time but still, a very sad news.
