    2018 - Image of the Week #33

    Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year.


    • The Week 33 entry period will be from Monday August 13th through/including Sunday August 19th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

    I finally got to go to the mountains! Drive was too long and everyone was not having it, so I only got to take about 6 photos...1 with tripod. Here is the tripod shot. Wildfire haze was everywhere.

    I truly like Sean's blacklight portrait of of Courtney the more I looked at that photograph the more I came to understand the thought behind the painting and makeup, well done Sean.

    Typically speaking, the subjects in this series are responsible for painting themselves. I'm always surprised and impressed with what they come up with, especially considering that none consider themselves artists.

    I talked w/ my wife about mixing in a little bit of the fluorescent pigment into traditional makeup and then use both normal wavelengths and near UV so as to impart a glowing effect. We might give a try sometime.
