    2019 - Image of the Week #10

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and, finally, in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

    • The Week 10 entry period will be from Monday March 4th through/including Sunday, March 10th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by cls.

    Good luck!

Taking a try at deep sky imaging. Temps finally got above 0º F, so my batteries lasted longer than 15 minutes. This was 60 images tracked at 60s, f/11, 800mm shot on a 6D from the backyard. Definitely think this might be my new addiction. This is the Orion Nebula. Still learning a ton about imaging and processing these types of shots.

This week’s winner is Sean’s IR tree. I like the minimalistic scene and the classic composition – well done and congrats Sean! (I believe this one would be even better in black & white - I expect to see a B/W version soon ;-)

    Awesome! Thanks!

For what it's worth, I just opened the IR shot's .PSD in Photoshop CC and converted it to BW (using several different methods), and this is about the best I could do.
