2019 Image of the Week 23

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and, finally, in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

    • The Week 23 entry period will be from June 3rd through/including Sunday, June 9th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Jamsus.

I think I am getting the hang of this deep sky photography thing.

Whoa, last one looks very particular (as a watercolor passionate i can feel it) but i also liked the galaxies and the nice guy (or girl) in the middle.

I'm going for last one, as i dont necessarily see authenticity as an aestethic value (i have an impressionistic soul) hoping to see even better galaxies in the future!

    Congratulations Joel

Thanks ... I did enjoy the result of Topaz Impression on this one. It took quite a lot of tweaking and some layer masking to get what I wanted but finally got there.

    Congratulations, Joel! Eye-catching effect.

It would be great to see submissions from more/ newer contributors. I know I am not the most accomplished of the photographers who submit, but the process of preparing images to submit is very worthwhile. The comments from other forum members are always gracious and have been quite helpful.

I think of it a little like the Olympics--just participation is satisfying even for the large number of athletes who do not medal.

If you ever think of posting an entry , why not go for it!
