    2019 - Image of the Week #26

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and, finally, in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

    • The Week 26 entry period will be from June 24th through/including Sunday, June 30th.
    • Please supply a title for your image.

    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by cls.

After some debating back and forth with myself I’ve come to the decision that Joels’s stairway to heaven is this week’s winner. I really like the composition with the clean scene and the stairway leading the eye to the beautiful clouds. (From my personal preferences I believe the image would benefit from less saturated colors. Maybe a high contrast B/W conversion would suit this one well?)

Thanks for pick, I appreciate it.

PS I did boost the saturation of the sky (maybe too much) in an attempt to make it look "heavenly". I had not considered a B&W for this one but I think its a good suggestion.

Congratulations, Joel! I thought this was a good use of editing for artistic effect rather than realism.
