    2019 - Image of the Week: #42

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images for the titles of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly, and, finally, in our annual poll for the title of "TDP Forum Image of the Year."

    • The Week 42 entry period will be from Monday, October 14th through/including Sunday, October 20th.
    • Please supply a title for your images.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Joel Eade.

    Morning Reflection
Brant (Kayaker72) was here for work and had the chance to connect, so I showed him a few photo spots. He always seems to bring good luck.

And just for fun, here is the man himself in his element at a cascading stream that we visited (No boots? No problem!)

Canmore Dawn by kayaker72, on Flickr

    “Canmore Dawn”

Of course I was just a few feet from Jonathan, but I like his composition of the Mtns. Mine was more straightforward. Here, with so much action to the East, I pivoted and recomposed.

    Minimal processing on my phone.

10_13 Tractor Pull - Wesley Smith (42 of 45) by Wesley Smith, on Flickr

I got the opportunity to try something different last weekend. I was able to take my 4-H group out to our local fair for a tractor pull. Not something I normally shoot, but it was a LOT of fun and loud! My photography students loved it too, and the fair got some great pics for next year's publications.

Tough call once again .... my 3 finalists were "Full Coverage", "Morning Reflection" and "Canmore Dawn" .... and all the entries are standout images and deserving of praise as well.

I am going with "Morning Reflection" as this week's champ.
