I actually really like these small birds, still struggle with their name, Pyrrhuloxia. They need a better name. Seriously. Very shy...but I have several I really like including...

We had several Turkey Vultures that frequented the raptor set up at Laguna Seca .... this is one of my best images of them.

The Canon R5 + RF 100-500mm is a great combo for flight images.

The R5 + RF 100-500 strikes again .... it produces a lot of flight images with tack sharp AF.

A young Crested Caracara has a blue-gray beak that can intensify in color when they become excited or irritated.

    Harris Hawk

This bird was quite a distance out from the blind we were using but a good testament to the crop ability afforded by the R5.

Ummm...wow. If that is where I think (to the right of the raptors blind), not only was that a ways out, but horribly lighting. Great job in pullout out the detail on the Harris and not blowing out the sky.

Thanks! It was that single tall dead tree off to the left .... probably 50-60 yards .... there were several vultures that landed there as well.
