    Coopers Hawk in flight

My wife spotted this Coopers Hawk perched on a low branch next to our house ..... I managed to open a window and fire off a few images as it took flight.

The birds eye tracking worked perfectly despite the myriad of tree branches

Gorgeous shot Joel! I love the complimentary colors.

I headed out yesterday to photograph sunrise and look for snowy owls.

I'm a huge fan of BIF photos, and I'm also totally enthralled with snowy owls. But for this week I have to give the nod to Brant for his 'Tilted Sunrise' image. It is both creative and artistic, on top of being very well executed. Nicely done!

    Thanks Jonathan and Joel!

A pleasant surprise considering Joel's shot.
