    • Please provide a title for your image.
    • This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro, or any other appropriate photographic style.
    • Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
    • Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Jonathan Huyer.

    Adding a couple here.
King Green Heron - He was fighting with a Eastern Kingbird for the tree branch

Prize Catch - I enjoyed watching him straddle the grass to get out onto the log

I'm giving the nod to Zach for "Dark Red". I'm definitely a sucker for perfectly executed flower shots, and this is a very fine example of that. I might be inclined to boost the background brightness just a tad, since it's a complementary colour. But that's obviously a matter of personal taste. I have to say that "Night in the Abbey" is terrific and "Wheat" is very well composed. Both are shots that make you pause and ponder. The King Green Heron is a cool action shot --- so sharp with a great background too.

Thanks for the opportunity to judge, and for the great submissions this week. Congrats to Zach!

I like them both! Now I can't decide which is better. Either way I'm sure I would have voted for it.
