I was thinking a crowbar would do it...
Or hit it with a hammer a few times, see if that loosens it...
okay, despite some of the latest "suggestions" i have ordered a set of filter wrenches off of ebay - i really hope that they'll do the job
the stuck/damaged filter isn't stopping me from taking photos with this lens at the moment, but it is a bit of a nuisance. especially as the lens cap doesn't fit on properly anymore
