    Night Sky and Stars

I will be spending a few nights way out on the North Fork of Long Island. The night sky is filled with amazing views of the stars. If anyone has any tips or advice for shooting at night and capturing the stars I would really appreciate the help.

    In my bag will be: Canon T3i, tripod, Canon 50mm 1.8 , Canon EF 70-300mm IS 1:4 -5.6, Canon EF 75-300 5.6, Tamron 17-50 2.8, and the Canon 18-55 kit lens…
I have polarizers and ND filters for all….

    Thanks guys...

    2. Nothing longer than 25 seconds unless you want star trails. Divide focal length into 600 = max shutter speed
    3. Get something in the frame that is on the earth
3.1 if it interesting get a flash and illuminate with the flash
    4. Load magic lantern and set up the intervalometer
    5. Play with iso, lower is better
    6. The supermoon this weekend will do amazing things for lit landscapes with stars if you keep the moon out of the frame

Suggestion 0.1 Have a good time
If you see me with a wrench, call 911
