I have been seeing more and more of photographer setting up photo booths to boost print sales during receptions/dances at weddings in my area. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried this and if so, any luck?


I am shooting a wedding next month and thought I would give it a try. I was planning on setting a spare camera I have in the corner with a simple white background and single flash with either umbrella or softbox. Then during the time after the couple is announced at the reception to time around eating, letting people give it a try and then continuing this sometime during the dance. I am just considering this since. The last couple of weddings I shot there was a little down time and I thought this might be a funexperiment.


Thought I would throw it out there before trying it to see if anyone else is doing it and if it is worth the time and effort. This is my cousins wedding so I don't think it will be that big of deal if I were to experiment with this, but you never know.


What are your thoughts?
