The skin set has no padding, except the removable thin dividers. They have built in raincovers and are pretty water resistant without using the covers.


They have no padding, unlike the Modular pouches. I find that they protect the lens from scrapes and abrasion very well. They are very good at keeping dust, sand, overspray and whatnot out of the lens when the flap is down.


I prefer the Skins to the Modulars because of their low profile, they take of no space what so ever when you take a lens out and their lighter.
