Hi All,
I've decided to add a bit of additional protection for my lenses by enclosing them in Lowepro lens cases. The problem is that the Lowepro compatibility chart does not account for lens hoods. So, can the group offer advice on the best cases for the following lenses, with hoods attached (reversed is fine)? I've indicated my best guesses based on the stated sizes of the cases and the actual physical measurements of my lenses and hoods, with the exception of the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM +EW-83E, which I can't measure since I'm going to purchase it before the rebates end, along with the cases for all my lenses.
- EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM - Lowepro Lens Case 1W (tight fit, maybe I need the 4S?)
- EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM -Lowepro Lens Case 4S
- EF 85mm f/1.8 USM -Lowepro Lens Case 1W (seems like the only choice, but lots of extra room)
- EF 100mm f/2.8<span>LMacro IS USM -Lowepro Lens Case 2S (seems like a perfect fit)
For the 17-55mm, I'm not sure I need a case - this is the lens I generally leave on the camera. Thoughts?
I'd appreciate any insights that are offered. I'm willing to consider cases other than Lowepro if the fit is optimal.
Thanks in advance!
