IMO, it should not be a problem to convince a woman you need to spend 2-3-5 k$ on lighting equipment to make HER looking much better on the picture.


Make one shot where all her wrinkles and blemishes are clearly seen, harsh shadows etc etc. Then start buying one by one all the lighting equipment you need and shoot her each time you buy a new thing. Of course, each next picture to show her looking better than on the previous one. Then she will get a reflex soon - the more gear you have the better she looks on the pictures.
