You might want to have a back up card just incase your sandisk gives you trouble in your upcoming photoshoots. It would be terrible to lose a whole days work because of a card!

It is definitely the card. I was shooting images just testing it and then scrolling through them and it would freeze it up every time. The only variable was how long it. Sometimes it would take viewing 10-15 images sometimes on the first. On the last time the card totally blanked.I switched to another card and no problems.Thank goodness that happen earlier in the day when I was shooting a paid event.
This one is going back too and no more Sandisk for me.
Wow that really sucks Keith...2 cards in a row...
Are you sure you're seller isn't selling faulty cards which other people traded in? [:P]
Glad I never experienced problems with Sandisk... although it seems like your card could also be a little on the small side for your 5D [] Anyway hope you get more lucky with your next purchase.

I remember thinking that an 8 gig card was plenty, but I shot 700 images today, filled 2 8gb cards and had to dump one of them once.
It appears third time may be a charm. Swapped it out today and shot some shots, scrolled through them and no issues.
Great news Keith!

Keith, good to hear everything worked out. It's funny you know, I asked a question about Lexar cards a while ago and got told without a doubt to stay away from them and use Sandisk only as they're infallable. Bit of a Touche moment there. [] I must say I was surprised when you had2 dud cards in a row as my experience with Sandisk cards has been good.

So I tried the Sandisk since Best Buy was selling them for a little less than B&H. The first one never had errors I just didn't trust the loose housing (especially when my Lexar feels like it is a solid block). I got lucky with the second one, I was out on a paid gig shooting away. Then I took a break to review the images and the camera froze. I took the battery out and took the card out. I didn't even want to play around. I was hoping the 400+ images were going to still be there. When I got home I found the images were all there. I dumped them then I reformatted the card and clicked of several shots. Sure enough it froze time and time again, one time totally blanking the card. So I'm glad I didn't play around at the paid gig. I would have lost so many good images.
Well regardless of the brand, any new cards I get from here out are getting a good long testing before they go into "pro" service.
