    I bought CS5 direct from the adobe web site. You could probably go there and ask.

    I am thinking if the full version student is $199 they are going to want $800 to make it a full version.

    My experience is that student and educational versions of software CAN NOT be upgraded.
    This is frequently on the packaging.

    Not really apples-to-apples but I upgraded a student version of Lightroom3 to a standard version of Lightroom4.
