yes, more RAM always helps :-)
With the latest macbook Pro Apple is not charging a super crazy amount of money for extra RAM anymore (additional $100 for 8GB vs. 4GB). Before it was always way more cost efficient to purchase the base configuration and upgrade RAM and HD on your own.

What are you going to do with all the extra time now?
