Thanks Joel, As far as the recon mission, it's about what you would expect for this time of year, no real surprises. A few cranes, a few snow geese and a few ducks, nothing in any great numbers yet. I also saw some deer that were not interested in me at all. I approached within 50 ft and they just laid there in the shade. One thing I did see in surprising numbers were the Northern Harriers---I bet I saw at least 10 different birds, or the same bird in 10 different locations.Originally Posted by Joel Eade
Here is a shot of one of the resting deer. It was midday so the deer were in the shade and not planning on moving. Unfortunately, no bucks.
