Yes that would probably suit it better, given the expression! The marmot was actually letting out a piercing whistle, which was incredibly loud. But it wasn't annoyed by my being there... it sat down and sunned itself shortly thereafter.Somehow that is not the expression I would have come up with - something more akin to Hey! get off my rocks....
