I don't know how old you feel, but I am certainly old by these standards.
I was just reading about the Red Dragon video camera - 18 megapixel 15 stops of dynamic range 60 fps full res, 300 at "HD"
I worked w/ a little as in VERY little 35mm cine camera in 1976-8 - the idea of shifting from 24 fps to 100 to 300 changing iso (asa then) oh hoot and howlEven a timelapse was an effort compared to todays methods.
Space/weight of a couple of terabyte drives vs. how much 35mm film hee hee hee hee.
I haven't done the "cost of inflation" but something tells me the "top of the line" in 1976 and now are inflation adjusted pretty close. Just huge difference in capabilities and cost of "supplies"
Oh and never mind post production
I just think all this stuff is cool, that we can with a click of mouse share a wonderful image anywhere in the world.... even if it isn't Assignment week 8
