I just bought a new laptop.

My old one is about 5 years old now and has really been straining as of late, especially while editing photos. I decided it was time to upgrade to something with quite a bit more oomph in it. This new laptop, a Lenovo, is more than capable of heavy gaming, so it should also handle my photo editing just fine.

For those interested, here are the specs-

If it flies, maybe it can catch up to the money that flew out of my bank account in order to purchase this

Dual nVidia GPUs? I didn't know they were doing SLI on laptops these days... I replaced my Core2Quad system this summer. It had less RAM than your graphics cards (just 3GB, and yes, it was painful, and yes I know better, and yes I *am* that lazy that I never upgraded it).

    Enjoy your new toy.

Probably it will be perfect, but a 64 - 128 - 256 GB SSD would have been che cherry on the cake!

I am considering upgrading the SSD, but I am undecided right now. Gonna check prices on a 128GB

Yes, in my opinion it would be great. There is a big difference when you work on a lot of data (or just for the operating system)
