    Thanks very much! I have a ridiculously unfair advantage out here, as you can tell. It was great to share this moment with Brant, who I met for the first time in the dark that morning. If anyone else happens to be coming out this way, please get in touch and I'd be delighted to show you some of my favourite spots.

    Living in the flat red dirt plains of middle America I thought that, but if I had mentioned this it might sound a bit unsportsmanlike.

    Keep the entries coming, we can at least dream of being there.

    No doubt that Banff NP overall and Vermilion Lakes in specifically are beautiful....but it also helps to know what you are doing.

    For comparison, here is one that I took that morning.

    Set up a few feet to the left of Jonathan....I tried one exposure of 60 seconds (this was 0.8 sec)....but looking at and admiring what Jonathan did, next time, I need to try longer. But it is great fun to meet up with Jonathan and be directed to such an idyllic spot.
