Tips for Snow and Ice photography?

Well it’s cold Brant, I honestly haven’t even had much of a chance to take pictures... having to work round the clock to keep the animals going, 2 horses, a hog, 15 dogs and a bunch of feral cats keep me busy, plus never knowing when they are gonna cut off power does not help, it’s pretty much stay inside and warm up till power comes on then fill waters with hot water and feed as needed.

Today should be the last of the freezing nonstop temps, (I hope) thanks for the concern Brant

Hang in there! It's a rough situation and I definitely don't want to sound like I'm gloating. Up here our utility systems have to be incredibly robust since temperatures of -30 C and lower happen every year. Water and sewer pipes are buried extra deep, power stations are designed for the cold, and so on. We run into troubles on occasion but they are local issues rather than a widespread disaster like you are going through.

I know Jonathan haha it was just a joke, i know up north a lot is built for this weather, it just don’t happen here except every 50 to 100 years or so haha

Zach it looks like no peach crop for you this year.

The town about 12 miles from my house recorded -13 F on Tuesday morning. This is a all time recorded low for that town.
A person would have a hard time convincing someone Global Warming is real in our area right now.

Yikes! -13 now that’s cold!, It just got down to 3 here.

Most peach trees haven’t come out yet so this might have helped those ones, that poor one I got shots of not so much...

I did have time during a work break to get a few nice bird shots (no bubble shot though ) and a few other shots too, will post later
