My suggestion is to do some research on the rule of thirds. In both images, your subjects are smack dab in the middle of the frame. For optimal interest, try positioning your subjects at an intersection of thirds

I disagree. Although I use this rule almost constantly in my bird shooting, I actually like the "smack dab in the center" framing in that shot. Well, just my preference[]

thanks brendan......and everyone else.......the pic of the frog is one of my favorites, its my wallpaper on my desktop......i've thought of getting it blown up to 24" and framing it. what do you guys think??
