    value critique

hi all.....been visiting the site a lot, and decided i would join the forums. i would really appreciate some critique on my photos, good or bad. i own a rebel XSi, 18-55mm IS kit lens, 28-135 f/3.5-5.6, and just recently purchased a 70-200 f/4L. once you write a post, there will be an icon in the toolbar that looks like a film icon with a small green "+". It is two icons to the right of the smily face.

Size your image to 800 pixels. Upload it to an image sharing site such as imageshack.us then paste the direct link to image between this:

    [.img]site.com/image.jpg[./img]

I love the first pic! Very nice job with your lens! If I was looking at that I would guess it was a much higher quality lens. Keep up the good work!

My suggestion is to do some research on the rule of thirds. In both images, your subjects are smack dab in the middle of the frame. For optimal interest, try positioning your subjects at an intersection of thirds.

It looks like the Image Shack site provides you the HTML code for the full size image. Try copying that to your browser's clipboard. When you come to the new post window on this site, click the HTML button located on the far right (next to "Paragraph" drop down menu). Paste your code in there and then click "Update". That should solve your thumbnail issue!
