A workaround to searching the-digital-picture forums.

Did you know? (heh) that google has the ability to search a specific website for any of your search criteria rather than scouring the internet for search results? With the search feature of the site currently being unavailable, we can use google to find all of those valuable posts full of the insight from all of the knowledgeable folks on here that make me keep coming back to this site.

Hopefully this helps anyone who was as bummed as me about the loss of functionality but still wanted to be able to search until Bryan migrates to the new forum service.

Yep - been doing that for months. Good tip!

BTW, you can leave off the http part, just type you search term(s) followed by <span style="color: #0000ff;"]site:community.the-digital-picture.com and you're good to go.

    Rocco,

    Thanks for posting the workaround!

You can also search the forums using the main site's search box - subdomain URLs are included in these results. However, depending on the search string used, there may be many main site results to skip over to find forum posts.

    Best regards,
