Fotar ND filters?
Hi all,
I ordered a Hoya variable ND filter and instead the company sent me a Fotar variable ND filter. Unfortunately I need it in 2 days time and there's not enough time together it exchanged.
I can't find much info on them, are they any good?
Also, just to add to this, should I take off my uv filter first? I'll be filming on or near the beach so I'm not sure what damage will happen ie flying sand when changing filter from one lens to another

I don't have any experience with the brand "Fotar," however, I'd return it to get what I paid for. When using any filter other than the UV filter, it's best to remove the UV filter first for optimal image quality.

Just for the record, I've tested out the Fotar and unfortunately it's pretty bad. I'm going to get the Tiffen instead, but the Fotar ND filter is just really low quality (I'm an amateur and even I wouldn't recommend it)
