    Body 5d2/7d/1dmark3

    Hi everyone,
After a terrible experience with nikon I'm coming back to mother Canon. I shoot documentary landscape and portraits. I bought 17-40 24-105 24ts and 85 1.8.

What's your suggestion for body? I've 1000 euros budget, all of these fits in, but what do you think about this three bodies for my use ?

5D2 hands down IMO for documentary landscape and portraits.
I am curious about your bad Nikon experience
By the way, welcome to the forum.

Software is incredibly complicated not friendly, Nital (Italian distributor for nikon costs 20% plus than other countries) I had serious problems with expensive technical assistance and, for last, I'm romantic and I missed the wheel!!!!

I agree with Mark (clemmb). The 5D II is going have better resolution and be better at higher ISO than the 1D III. The 7D is just not a great landscape camera especially in lower light... the noise will be worse, and the IQ will be a bit worse. I think your lens combination fits the full frame of the 5D II as well.

Don't forget to download and install Magic Lantern. All kinds of helpful little functions.

ML Yes I hear about it but especially for video. It helps for static photo also?

Yes, it's helps for static photos as well. I have it on my 60D and it's great!

I agree with the rest above the 5 II two would be your best choice, another option (for more money) is the 6D for it's impresive noise levels and other advantages.
