    Mounted Flash and Dark Room

Hi all, i've just purchased my first flash Yongnuo YN560 II Flash Speedlite, only a cheapy but seen LOADS of good reviews about them, anyway my question is.

When I was using my built in flash it would flicker to adjust autofocus, now unless it has a setting on the camera to tell the mounted flash to do this, I can't auto focus so I have to turn to manual, what is the best way for me to manual focus in low light and to achieve nice sharp images that are not slightly out of focus.

    Thanks in-advance

    Kev

    A flashlight. :-)

Seriously. Use a flashlight to illuminate your subject for focus. Then turn it off before you click the shutter. I've used this technique numerous times with pretty good results.
