Now Voting: Assignment #75: High Speed Photography

I was unable to reach jerrytech1...so, Sean stepped in and selected the finalists. Honest, I had nothing to do with it.

So, without further ado the finalists for Assignment #75: High Speed Photography

    As described by jerrytech1:

Photography to record movement or events that occur too quickly to be observed by usual visual or photographic means.

    Conropl: "The Rose"

    Kayaker72: "Droplets"

Joel Eade: "Hummingbird and Lady Bug"

The poll will be open for 5 days.

    Good Luck

Concerning high speed photography....some of you may also find this site interesting; https://edgerton.mit.edu/high-speed-imaging

On the high speed imaging drop down, don't miss Doc Edgerton's "iconic images".

Just a reminder that this assignment closes at the end of May. I have a few shots in mind and hopefully I'll get the time to set one up soon.

Love the entries so far. This is one from the archives... I pointed my 300 mm lens at a waterfall and set the ISO to 1600 to give a shutter speed of 1/5000 sec.

Well, took me a while to find something. I shot state track this weekend and captured this gem. Have to love the facial expressions of the throwers. I shot both discus and shot put. Great comedy value for the photographer when he gets to freeze things.

Assignment is open through this weekend.

I had hoped to get out and shoot something original. The concept would be one of those shots where a bird or something look like they are walking on water.

    But....projects....

Here is a shot that I think qualifies.....
