Thanks! I had fun with that picture, and I'd recommend anyone to try doing the same sort of thing on a clear starry night. I used a 4-second exposure, which was the longest I could manage without making myself blurry from movement (due to shivering). Another option is to just lie on the ground, which then allows you a much longer exposure. The headlamp needs to be pretty bright to cast a long beam, but the new LED models do a great job with that. I'm hoping to try this trick again with aurora, when the next opportunity arises.
