2017 Image of the Week #20

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

• There will be only one weekly winner.
• This entry period for Week 20 will be from Monday May 8th through/including Sunday May 14th.
• Please supply a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by Jonathan Huyer.

I'm really impressed by all the entries this week, and as usual it's a very tough call to pick a winner. I'm going with Jayson's 'Bleeding Hearts'. The composition really caught my eye, with the progression of flowers from bud to blossom along the stem. And the colour contrast between pink and green is strikingly attractive. I have to say though I was also really captivated by Jamsus' shot 'Thoughtful', for the perfect silhouette with just the right amount of shadow detail. And the other entries would be contenders in any week of the year as well. Thanks for the opportunity to be the judge, and congratulations to Jayson!
